Lucca Colombelli is a Brazilian-American painter, art educator, and gallerist working out of Chicago, IL. Originally from Seattle, WA, and raised in Shanghai, China, his background informs a global worldview and a passion for social work. He dropped out of art school in 2018 and it was glorious. In 2020, he founded Povos Chicago.

“My current work reflects a symbiosis between form and abstract, focusing on surreal and humorous observations, often of disaster and in various degrees of subtlety. The punchline is usually there if you look close enough--it’s just not always funny.”
